The Malthouse

beautiful old building that's been decorated with a modern industrial look.booked very last minute and was very pleased with our pick.good parking,handy location for m62. welcomed warmly and taken to our room.the room was warm and cosy. tea tray complete with teapot and refreshments. very comfortable bed . plenty of towels and toiletries.we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the experience. the food choice is varied and not overpriced and was good.we didn't book breakfast but went down and had coffee and lighter breakfast. lovely experience throughout.

Everything about The Malthouse from check in to check out was excellent. The evening Meal & Full English Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Top quality ingredients & presented nicely. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Bedroom was lovely and toasty warm as they had added an extra heater. We turned it off and we were warm enough anyway. The views from the front bedroom window is a vista of fields and trees. There is a fairly busy main road in front but it didn’t stop us sleeping. If you’re a light sleeper I’d ask for a room away from the road. The Staff are all very helpful and attentive, they were very busy but did everything with a smile. The gentleman serving at Breakfast was very friendly and we had a nice little chat. He said the Owners were nice people & good to work for. I think this comes across in the way the staff are. We stayed once before and I recognised some of the staff. We really enjoyed our little treat away. We will definitely return & I have already spread the word about this gem of a country pub with accommodation. 😁

the location was great, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, making conversation during our stay. the rooms were more than big enough and the king size bed in room 3 was huge. the food served was really good and i would say good value too.

Parking on site, breakfast very good, selection of evening meals very good, nice bar to relax and chat. Staff were all really helpful and friendly.

This pub was great for our mini break to get some chill time. The evening meal was really good , great service with minimal waiting time even though the place was pretty busy , the breakfast was equally good with plenty of options and set us up for the day ahead.
